What is the minimum purchase quantity?
For propagation orders of young Phalaenopsis plants the minimum purchase quantity is about 3000 plants per clone per year. Our own clones can also be delivered in smaller quantities. However, the minimum purchase quantity should be about 5000 plants per year.

How many young plants are in one box?
As far as Phalaenopsis are concerned, 26 plants are in one box and you only have to pay for 25. As to coldhouse cultures and Paphiopedilum we deliver 42 plants per box and only 40 plants will have to be paid for.

Is it possible to buy specific varieties from the Hark product range?
We only deliver a selection of our own clones. Individual clones can be ordered with the minimum quantity being about 5000 plants per clone per year. For this purpose we cultivate special stock plants, but of course we need more time to do so than when delivering an assortment of clones

| |
Can young plants be delievered quickly?
Due to the long production times for orchids, young plants should be ordered in time prior to delivery (at least 1 year in advance). Usually, only small quantities are available on a short-term basis.

What do I have to consider, if I want to have my own clones propagated in your company?
For many companies it would be interesting to work with clones they have propagated themselves. The basis for propagation orders are propagation agreements with the customers. However, protected or active clones of competitors will only be propagated when there is an appropriate license agreement.

What do I have to send to the laboratory for clone propagation?
In order to cultivate a new Phalaenopsis clone we need the Phalaenopsis flower spike. The spike should be broken out into blossom for about 30%. For optimal processing the stem which is sent to our laboratory should be as fresh as possible. It has proved to be quite favourable to close the cut in the stem with wax in order to prevent drying. For propagation of coldhouse cultures we either need the whole plant or a new shoot branched to ¾.
|
| |
How much time is needed for propagation?
We need about two years for Phalaenopsis until the first material can be delivered. Other cultures may need an even longer propagation period.

How are the plants delivered?
The plants are delivered in transparent plastic boxes. Take a look at our products on our homepage "Propagation orders / Quality Examples".
